Protective Measure in Fire
Wear self contained breathing apparatus and fully protective impervious suit.

6.) ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES

Personal Precaution in Spill
Use personal protective equipment. Avoid dust formation. Avoid breathing vapors, mist, or gas. Ensure adequate ventilation. Avoid breathing dust.
Environment
Prevent from reaching waterways. If spill reaches waterways, notify local health and wildlife officials. Notify operator of nearby water intakes.
Spill Clean Up
Sweep carefully to recover as much uncontaminated material as possible. Place contaminated material in suitable container for disposal. It may be treated with Epsom salts to precipitate barium as barium sulfate. The resultant sludge may be disposed of at landfill. Containers may be incinerated.
