4.) FIRST AID MEASURES

Inhalation
Remove from exposure to fresh air immediately. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen.Flush mouth and nasal passages with water as much as possible. Get medical aid.
Skin Contact
Get medical aid. Flush skin with plenty of soap and water for at least 15 minutes while removing contaminated clothing and shoes. Wash clothing before reuse.
Eye Contact
Flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes, occasionally lifting the upper and lower eyelids. Get medical aid.
Ingestion Contact
Have victim drink one tablespoon of Epsom Salts (magnesium sulfate) or Glauber's Salt (sodium sulfate) dissolved in water. If victim is not vomiting, induce vomiting by giving Syrup of Ipecac or by sticking finger down throat.
Notes to Physician
Treat symptomatically and supportively. For methemoglobinemia, administer oxygen alone or with Methylene blue depending on the methemoglobinemia concentration in the blood. Methylene blue, alone or in combination with oxygen is indicated as a treatment in nitrite induced methemoglobinemia.

5.) FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES

Extinguishing Media
Use water only! Do NOT get water inside containers. Contact professional fire-fighters immediately. Do Not Use dry chemical or foam. CO2 or halon may provide limited control.
Special Fire Fighting Procedures
During a fire, irritating and highly toxic gases may be generated by thermal decomposition or combustion. Use water with caution and in flooding amounts. Oxidizer. Greatly increases the burning rate of combustible materials.
Fire and Explosion Hazzards
Not considered to be an explosion hazard.
Hazardous Combustion Products
Toxic fumes of nitrogen oxides may be generated.
Protective Measure in Fire
As in any fire, wear a self-contained breathing apparatus in pressure-demand, MSHA/NIOSH (approved or equivalent), and full protective gear.

6.) ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES

Personal Precaution in Spill
Use proper personal protective equipment as indicated in Section 8.
Environment
Remove all sources of ignition. Provide ventilation. Do not let product enter drains
Spill Clean Up
Clean up spills immediately. Vacuum or sweep up material and place into a suitable disposal container. Do not get water inside containers. Do not use combustible materials such as paper towels to clean up spill.

7.) HANDLING AND STORAGE

Usage Precautions
Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Avoid formation of dust and aerosols
Usage Descriptions
Ensure appropriate exhaust ventilation at places where dust if formed. Keep away from ignition sources. NO SMOKING
Storage Precautions
Keep containers tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place
Handling Precautions
Wash thoroughly after handling. Minimize dust generation and accumulation. Avoid contact with eyes, skin, and clothing. Keep container tightly closed. Avoid contact with clothing and other combustible materials. Avoid ingestion and inhalation. Use with adequate ventilation. Do not allow contact with water. Wash clothing before reuse. Keep from contact with moist air and steam. Keep away from heat, sparks, and flame. Do not store near combustible materials. Store in a tightly closed container. Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from incompatible substances. Store protected from moisture.

8.) EXPOSURE CONTORLS AND PERSONAL PROTECTION

Protective Equipment
Use adequate ventilation to keep airborne concentrations low.
Process Conditions
No Threshold Limit Value established.
Respirators
Follow the OSHA respirator regulations found in 29CFR 1910.134 or European Standard EN 149. Always use a NIOSH or European Standard EN 149 approved respirator when necessary.
Protective Gloves
Wear protective gloves
Eye Protection
Wear appropriate protective eyeglasses or chemical safety goggles as described by OSHA's eye and face protection regulations in 29 CFR 1910.133 or European Standard EN166.
Other Protection
Wear a chemical apron. Wear appropriate clothing to prevent skin exposure.
Hygienic Work Practices
Facilities storing or utilizing this material should be equipped with an eyewash facility and a safety shower.
